What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. Today the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non-addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred “phytocannabinoids,” which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile. 

CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. These are the two components of cannabis that have been most studied by scientists.

Will CBD get me high?
No. Unlike THC, CBD does not make a person feel "stoned" or intoxicated. This is because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body. Our product is derived from an isolate and as such contains NO THC.

How much CBD can I safely consume?
While there are no official FDA regulations around how much an individual could safely consume on a daily basis and does vary by various factors such as potency and weight, we have found that a good rule of thumb is to take between 1-6 mg of CBD per 10 lbs of body weight.

Can you overdose on ARC©?
Our ingredients (including CBD) are non-toxic, and no overdose has ever been reported. However, please check with your healthcare practitioner before drinking large quantities. 

Can kids drink ARC©? What about pregnant women, or women who are nursing?

Can athletes consume ARC©? 
ARC© used CBD isolate which contains no THC. CBD is not on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) list of prohibited substances. However, please check with your health care practitioner.

Is CBD legal? 
Yes. ARC© uses CBD from industrial hemp from a state-licensed farm, and thus is legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, which makes hemp products legal throughout the United States. We recommend checking your state's laws regarding CBD products prior to purchasing and consuming the product. 

Can I travel across international borders with ARC©? 
It depends on the legal status of hemp CBD in the country that you are visiting. Please do your research before traveling abroad with ARC©.
